Tree Consultancy is a growing profession and that is due to an emerging socio/legal context in which tree owner's liabilities and responsibilities are becoming ever more clearly defined.

Whatever the responsibilities, we think that tree advice should deal with them but then that advice should go significantly further. With that in mind, the companies listed here have all satisfied the membership requirements of various organisations who have approved tree consultants, registered consultants and approved arborists. All are involved in assessing and accrediting tree consultants to provide professional tree reports. Those organisations include:-

• The Consulting Arborist Society (CAS Professional Members)
• The American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA Registered Consultants)
• Arboricultural Association (AA Registered Consultants)
• The Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF Professional Members)

For established Tree Consultants who have not become professional members of these organisations we can also arrange for peer review and accreditation of prior learning if required, at additional cost. We are always interested to hear from any other organisations who believe that their members should pre-qualify for a listing on this website.

While the individuals listed here have all demonstrated the pre-qualifying levels of professional service to enable them to become members of the organisations listed above, we advise that you verify the professional standing of the company that you choose and be sure to view a copy of their current Professional Indemnity insurance before instructing them to proceed with any formal assessment works.
