• Project Management. Co-ordinating all environmental aspects of a development, including arboricultural, ecological and landscape impact assessments and proposals. Landscape design. Specifying, tendering and managing landscape and tree work contracts.
• Expert Witness. Single Joint Expert Witness Litigation casework. Court appearances. Contractual disputes relating to landscape, arboricultural and grounds maintenance contracts.
• Tree Hazard Assessment Limiting liability for Schools, Companies, Parish Councils, Estates and others responsible for 500-5,000 trees. Establishing appropriate Tree Safety Plans. Tree Hazard Assessment surveys. Setting up management systems linked to digital mapping. Use of Quantified Tree Risk Assessment methodology.
SJ Stephens Associates is based on the Wiltshire, Berkshire, Hampshire border and operates throughout London and the south.
The practise uses AutoCAD and ArborCAD for plans and NBS software for specifications.
Principal Consultant: Simon Stephens MA Oxon, Dip Arb (RFS), M Arbor A is an Arboricultural Association Registered Consultant with over 20 years experience in the industry, including 5 years as MD of the Landscape Group, employing over 500 staff.
Simon’s broad technical and management experience has equipped him to be an effective advocate for client’s interests, and to take a lead Project Management role in development projects where environmental considerations are of key importance.
The practice has network of associates who are introduced to projects, as and when particular related specialisms are required.
